PRECISION RIFLE ONE TRAINING

The ACADEMI Precision Rifle course is an in-depth, three-day course. The course will take an individual with little or no experience with scoped precision rifles through all the training required to become self-sufficient in the operation and handling of a rifle. ACADEMI instructors are all qualified military or law enforcement snipers with many years of experience in the field.
All topics presented during the course are proven fundamentals of long-distance marksmanship. The instruction is detailed and comprehensive.
Students will come away with a solid foundation on which to build their long rifle shooting skills whether for hunting or target practice.

pre-Requisites
- Current, valid carry permit with drivers license –or-
- Current law enforcement ID –or-

Gear requirement
- Suitable match-grade firearm with mounted scope; bolt action is preferred but not mandatory (common caliber is .308, however up to .338 is fine; smaller calibers such as .223 are not recommended due to some of the farther ranges)
- Day pack (backpack large enough to carry ammunition, notebook and any other gear needed for the range)
- Eye and ear protection
- Small notebook, preferably water-resistant
- Cleaning kit specific to caliber of your firearm system
- Rain gear
- Clothing appropriate for climate and conditions
- A water bottle or other hydration system
- Ammunition Requirement- 200 rounds match-grade ammunition
Method of instruction
The course is presented in a combination of classroom theory, practical applications, and live-fire applications. Student-to-instructor ratio for this course is 4:1.
